English 1 CP (Period 4)

Objective: Students will compare and contrast the end of the Romeo & Juliet film with the play.

In class:

1). Open-Ended Question on Romeo & Juliet, Act V.

2). Viewing of film (modern) version of Romeo & Juliet, Acts IV and V.

3). Discussed the ending of the film and how it compared to the original play.

Homework:

Romeo & Juliet test (Friday 1/18/08). Romeo & Juliet Final Discussion/Review Questions due Wednesday 1/16.

Objective: Students will discuss the themes of MacBeth and review for the upcoming test.

In class:

1). Scene by scene review of MacBeth.

2). Reviewed how to answer Open-Ended Question.

3). Discussed MacBeth Review and Discussion Questions.
