Objective:

To identify possible reasons why Odysseus is lost at sea for ten years.

In class:

1). Identified and discussed characters in The Odyssey.

2). Watched 30 minutes of The Odyssey on film, to fill in much of the back story.

3). Discussed reasons why Odysseus might be lost at sea for ten years.

Homework:

Reread Assignment 1 of The Odyssey, paying particular attention to the Lotus Eaters.

English 3 CP (Periods 1 & 5)

Objective:

To identify the reasons why William Wallace becomes a hero to his people.

In class:

1). Defined reluctant hero.

2). Watched chapters 5-8 of the Braveheart DVD.

3). Answered Open-Ended Question about chivalry and the reluctant hero.
