Objective: To review Greek gods and their roles and Greek myths.

In class:

1). Reviewed Greek gods and discussed all of the important gods of Olympus.

2). Reviewed important Greek myths.

English 1 CP (Period 7)

Objective:

To identify the key elements of an odyssey.

In class:

1). Wrote down goals that students have accomplished.

2). Defined "odyssey" and "epic." Gave examples of epic works of fiction.

3). Journal: Describe the process you followed to reach your goal. How does your goal fit the definition of an odyssey?

4). Reviewed the key elements on an odyssey.

Homework:

The Odyssey, Assignment 1, due Monday 1/28/08.

Objective:

To identify the most important elements of the college admissions process.

In class:

1). Reviewed the policies for the administration of the SAT test.

2). Reviewed the college admissions process and discussed deadlines and ideas for applications.

3). Answered student questions about both processes.
