English 1 CP (Period 4)
Objective:
To begin to compare and contrast different creation myths.
In class:
1). Read Greek Creation Myth and Hebrew/Christian Creation Myth.
2). Reviewed the key elements of each of the myths.
3). Began comparing the important elements of each of the myths.
Homework:
Prepare "Lady or the Tiger" Part 2 Vocabulary. Complete Odyssey Reflective Quote.
English 3 CP (Periods 1 & 5)
Objective:
To identify whether or not Chance made the right choice by walking out on celebrity.
In class:
1). Journal: Revisit ignorance versus experience. Is Chance happiest by knowing nothing? Or, would his situation be improved with more knowledge?
2). Listened to two songs: U2's "Gone' and the Beatles' "Nowhere Man." Applied the lyrics of the songs to the character of Chance.
3). Discussed Chance's choice of ignorance over knowledge or experience. Does he make the right the choice and why?
Homework:
Bring Rough Draft of Research Paper to class tomorrow. Being There Discussion Questions due Friday. Vocabulary Quiz #11 on Friday.
