Objective:

To compare and contrast flood myths.

In class:

1). Read Mayan Popul-Vuh.

2). Compared and contrasted the Popul-Vuh to both creation and flood myths.

3). Whole class reading of the Mesopotamian Flood Myth.

4). Highlighted similarities between the Mesopotamian Flood Myth and the Hebrew/Christian Flood Myth.

Homework:

Prepare "Lady or the Tiger" Part 2 Vocabulary.

1). Finished comparing and contrasting myths of the flood.

2). Read "Ragnarok," the Norse Myth of the Apocalypse.

3). Discussed "Ragnarok."

4). Read the Hopi Apocalypse Myth (Emergence of the Fifth World).

5). Compared and contrasted the myths of the apocalypse.
