English 1 CP (Period 4)

Objective:

To identify the ways in which Odysseus learns he can trust Telemachus and Eumaus.

In class:

1). Wrote down all of the ways a person can use to earn another's trust.

2). Reviewed the situation in The Odyssey and why Odysseus needs to look for allies that he can trust.

3). Discussed how Odysseus learns that he can trust Telemachus and Eumaus.

4). Explored alternative ways that Odysseus can learn that his son and swineherd could be trusted.

Objective:

To identify the similarities and differences between the historical account and the legend of William Wallace.

In class;

1). Watched History Channel documentary on the real William Wallace.

2). Answered Open-Ended Question about the differences between the real William Wallace and the version in the film.
